Property Division In a Pennsylvania Divorce
Serving Montgomery, Bucks, Chester and Philadelphia counties.
I am available to help people in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and the Greater Philadelphia area with the equitable distribution of assets. Division of assets can be relatively straightforward or extremely complex depending on the circumstances and the attitudes of the parties. I will thoroughly investigate and analyze any property division issues that may arise in your case.
E-mail me or call me at (610) 275-8587 for more information about how I can assist with the equitable distribution in your divorce law case.
Equitable distribution does not necessarily mean that property is divided equally. To determine how assets are divided, the court looks at a variety of factors. I can work to see that the factors are presented in the light that is most favorable to your interests.
Valuation of businesses and other assets is another important step in the equitable distribution process. To ensure that all property is valued properly, I will often enlist financial experts including real estate appraisers and other professionals. I may consult with pension evaluators and forensic accountants to accurately value pensions and retirement savings, including 401K and IRA accounts.
In Pennsylvania, claims for alimony are decided at the same time as the equitable distribution of the marital estate is determined. Property division and the payment of alimony may be closely related and may have tax implications. I will work with you to ensure that your long-term financial interests are protected in the final distribution of your marital assets and debts.
I bring more than 18 years of experience to every case I handle. I have handled numerous property divisions throughout my career. I will use my experience to try to achieve your goals in your divorce.
